What is BoNC Photo?
BoNC Photo represent photojournalistic view photography which accommodates your schedule, at a location of your choice, taking your needs into consideration and offering heirloom products tailored just for you.
Where is your studio?
I work entirely on location. You can choose to have your session at your home, a local park or beach – anywhere that’s special to you. Studio lighting is available, if needed, for sessions you choose to have indoors at your home.
I live out-of-state and will be vacationing in your area. How does that work?
In this case, your pre-session consultation can be conducted over the phone. After the images are processed, I will put up a password-protected online ordering gallery and send you the link, which you can share with friends and relatives.
What should I wear?
Please wear clothes that are comfortable. Avoid bright red clothing, stripes, plaids, and anything with large logos. If there is more than one person being photographed, it would be best to coordinate clothing. You don’t have to dress like you’re part of a bowling team, but you should all be on the same page with regard to style (casual/dressy, etc.). This will be covered in your pre-session consultation, and you will also receive a set of clothing guidelines.
How long will the session take?
The session will be as long or as short as it needs to be, usually last 1-2 hours. It generally ends when we agree that there are enough images to please both of us. What if I need to reschedule? Please call as soon as you know you will not be able to keep your appointment, ideally at least 24 – 48 hours before. I realize children (and adults) get sick, there may be family emergencies, and “life” happens. In these cases, your creation fee can be applied to a rescheduled session to be held within 10 days which you can use just once. No-shows without prior notice, however, will forfeit the fee and fee is not refundable under those circumstances. If I get sick or unable to keep appointment, fee is refundable and discount given for next session.
When can I see them?
Your images will be ready for viewing within 2 weeks. We will set a date for your ordering appointment at the end of your session, and you will be able to view your images online for 24 hours before your appointment.
When will my finished portraits be ready?
Depending upon the complexity of the order, and the time of year, your portraits should be ready within 3 -4 weeks. Special services, such as canvas mounting and extensive retouching, may take a bit longer.
Can I order my portrait framed?
Framing is available. At the consulting and ordering appointments, we can discuss different matting/framing options.
How much should I budget for photography?
Everyone’s needs are different. It will be easier to make a budget once we know what your goal is for the session. At the pre-session consultation, we can discuss what you have in mind for the finished product, and any other ideas you might have. I will be happy to help you develop a plan, working with your available resources that will best meet your goals. Please check my Pricing page to have general idea about costing.
